Back In Town

November 26, 2007 | Filed under: Uncategorized

I have been away since October 25th and have just now returned after about 4 weeks.  Three of those weeks were spent in Florida where the weather was sunny and glorious.  Nothing like returning to November drizzle.  But I was quite anxious to get back.  I always have different designs percolating in my head and when I find new gemstones I just want to get to work.  So I am glad to be  in my studio at last.

I was able to find quite a few unusual gemstones and can’t wait to create something to reflect their beauty.   One of my new sources was Esther, who buys stones from Israel as well as other countries.  It was great fun talking to her-she had quite a sense of humour.

Just a reminder that my OPEN HOUSE is coming up starting on Dec. 7th which is a Friday (from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.) and then Sat. and Sun. Dec. 8th and 9th (10 to 5).  I hope to see you there.

Yesterday I took my grandson  for a drive to look at Christmas lights.  He is 5 and is still fascinated by this.  We came across quite a diverse display that had the nativity scene, snowmen, Santa and reindeer, trains, candles and so on.  Very colourful and all encompassing of the many Christmas themes.  I was explaining the nativity scene to him and describing the birth in the stable of Mary and Joseph’s baby, the coming of the the wise men and the shepherds bearing  gifts and how this was the beginning of Christmas giving.  My grandson wanted to know if the baby’s name was Santa!
