5 Days Away……and still working

November 29, 2014 | Filed under: Uncategorized

DSCF0002My Christmas Open House is just 5 DAYS away.  Pictured are pendants.  From left to right, a Chinese Kasumi pearl which is about 14 mm.  So a nice size.  Next is a lapis lazuli piece and then 2 pieces of pale blue Chalcedony drusy.  The last piece is again lapis.  All are designed with sterling silver and have sterling chains.  There are some unusual stones again in my inventory for this sale…..More on that later.  Back to work for me right now….it is so easy to dawdle.

And the work continues……

I am mindful that the time is passing quickly and the my Christmas Open House will be here soon…..But so much is goes on at this time of the year, so I hate to miss anything.  Quatrefoil is opening a brewpub on Locke St. and their soft opening is this Wednesday.  I will have to miss that but will get there later in December. Another great location with great food and this time great beer.  Our own artisan brewery which is going to be on Hatt Street is taking a long time or so it seems to me.  Looking forward to that opening as well.

The Carnegie Gallery is having its opening  reception for the Christmas Small Works Exhibit on December 6th.  Many of the artisans have their work displayed there already.  This turquoise necklace is there along with other pieces of my work.Greenwood images Oct 2104 011

I have been very remiss in not posting……but it has been that kind of year so far.  Somehow difficult to focus and do what one should.  The Beyond the Valley Studio Tour seems a long time ago – although really just a few weeks.  We had an excellent turnout and I saw many new faces.  Thank you to everyone for coming out and also for taking home a piece of my work.  It is very gratifying to see such a positive response and I do apologize for not posting sooner with my thanks.

You should have received a card in the mail with the details of my open house or an email.  I will send reminder emails in another 10 days.

I will post again with some pictures to give everyone an idea of what to expect.  New designs always.  And my fascination with Swarovski elements continues.  Certainly appropriate for this time of year.

And Scott Barnim is also having a sale the same week end that I am.  So come to Dundas for a great shopping experience.  The Carnegie Gallery is now featuring the Christmas Small Works exhibit.  My work can also be found there.  With great restaurants and boutiques, Dundas is a wonderful place to visit.
