New Work – Aquamarine set in Sterling Silver

I am very happy with this large Sterling Silver pendant. The back is brushed sterling with a highly polished wonky sterling silver triangle which is set with a triangular aquamarine measuring 1.55 carats. An elegant statement.

Best In Show – article in the Globe on Saturday
November 29, 2015 | Filed under: Uncategorized
A great article in the Globe yesterday about artists who sell in venues other than storefronts or online. Like me. And I am as the artists mentioned, also, so incredibly grateful that my work strikes such a chord with people.
And customers do like the face-to-face interaction with the maker. And if I may add, the artist loves the face-to-face interaction with the customer. And I will quote with some asides from the article “For (any artist), the intimacy of the in-person transaction just makes sense. The artist can look at the client and try to figure out what that person wants and if lucky, will have the art, that will give that to her or him. And lucky me and any artist for being able to do that!”
My friends who help me and I often discuss after a studio tour or an in-house sale why and how do we continue to be so successful. The work is important of course but what really makes the difference is the opportunity to work directly with every client/customer. We appreciate that contact, in fact we love it and as a result, it becomes fun not just a job.
Pictured are some of the earrings that I design using vintage metal stampings. Most date from the 50’s to 70’s. More images of new work coming!!

November 23, 2015 | Filed under: Uncategorized
There will be lots of new work at my Christmas Open House and Sale which is coming up December 4th and 5th from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. There will be many pieces in a range of styles and prices. Earrings are from $16 to $200. Prices depend on the materials and the complexity of the design. Bracelets and pendants also come in a good range. And there will be several pendants from my new line of sterling silver and precious stones. Pictured below are pieces that, although not expensive are still one of a kind – onyx, carnelian, jade, agate, grey moonstone on metal chains.
New Work…….

My work will be at the Carnegie Gallery starting at the end of November. It will part of the Small Works Exhibit. Barbara Patterson has retired and artist Marla Panko is now in charge of this exhibit as well as the gallery shop.
And some of my very very new work will be making an appearance at my Christmas Open House. I expect to have about 6 pendants. Pictured is a ring that I designed and has now gone to a good home. The stone is natural volcanic glass or Obsidian. Stunning! I plan to have a tear drop pendant of the same stone. It will also be bezel set in Sterling Silver.
